Get Real is an Australia wide organisation with head offices located in Brisbane and Sydney. Our core team is located across the states with partnership agreements with trained facilitators throughout Australia.  All of our programs are run by practitioners with relative qualifications and working with children checks.

Our fearless leader and head honcho, Tamsyn has founded the Get Real empowerment programs and personally trained all facilitators for the Get Real adventures. A force of nature, her corporate experience, formal mainstream training and performance background blend perfectly to deliver Get Real in all it’s forms.  A master of human development and bringing out the best in everyone she works with and specialising in tricky behaviours and special needs and leading us all in this movement for change.

Kelsey was plucked from the world of special assistance schools, a dynamic Social Worker and leader in her field.  Kelsey specialises in working with complex needs and managing the tough stuff.  Leading our team of Wellbeing and support workers to achieve incredible outcomes with the families we support.

Zane Jones
Youth Support Worker and Coach

 

Zane is an energetic all-rounder who has been working in mental health and disability peer support with Get Real for two years.  Zane comes for an elite athlete background, with experience and training in coaching and youth support work, community services, and case management. Zane also works with ALIVE and QRL as lead facilitator of Mental Health and Wellbeing programs for athletes.

Rodger Morris
Youth Support Worker and Case Manager

Rodger has been working with young people internationally since entering the workforce with wellbeing support at the forefront of his passions. Rodger has a Bachelors of Psychological Science and is passionate about support through practices of REBT and adventure-based therapy and philosophies such as nonviolent communication. As a result, he revels in explorative in-depth conversation around awareness of self and internal processes whilst also sees the value in greeting the world through play. This flows through his broad range of interests to connect and facilitate growth, these include painting, embroidery, basketball, yoga, volleyball, hiking, fire spinning, guitar/ukulele, gardening and more!

Z is a youth and family worker with more than five years’ experience in disability advocacy and mental health practice. As a nature lover and visual artist, Z specialises in Get Real’s Equine Empowerment and Artistic Adventures programs. Z has worked for headspace as a youth peer support worker and many more organisations as a community arts worker, educator and facilitator. Z also has qualifications in fitness and education support, and is an identified Rainbow Rep, supporting Get Real’s Queer and Trans young people, their families and communities. Z loves creative writing, horse-riding, painting and crochet, and is Chief Artist for Get Real Institute.
