Tamsyn Rose
Tamsyn RoseOur Founding CEO
Our fearless leader and head honcho, Tamsyn founded the Get Real empowerment programs in 2009 and personally trained all our specialist facilitators for the Get Real adventures. An International Leader in Mental health, her many forms of mainstream training as a Child Youth and Family Practitioner, Therapist and Counselor and Community Services and Leadership Executive, blend perfectly to deliver Get Real in all its forms. A master of human development and bringing out the best in everyone she works with. Specialising in mental health, complex needs and family interventions and leading us all in this movement for change.
Kelsey Pearsall
Kelsey PearsallGeneral Manager
Kelsey was plucked from the world of special assistance schools, a dynamic Social Worker and leader in her field. Kelsey specialises in working with complex needs and managing the tough stuff. She is passionate about animals and witnessing the power of connection through a human-animal bond. Working across both QLD and NSW, Kelsey is leading our team of Wellbeing and support workers to achieve incredible outcomes with the families we support.
Zane Jones
Zane JonesHead Coach & New Business Development
Zane is an energetic all-rounder who has a deep passion for the development and empowerment of those around him. Coming from an elite athlete background and now Community Services, Zane does his best to combine an active and fun lifestyle with holistic health and wellbeing. Zane has a big focus on getting outside and moving but is driven by seeing young people express themselves in any way they can.
Mimi Pearsall
Mimi PearsallBrisbane Office Manager
Having worked in administration in schools for over 20 years it was a natural transition for Mimi to join our dynamic team. She embraces every opportunity Get Real has offered to expand her capacity working with young people and being able to contribute to making their lives better. Her passion is her family having raised 3 children and delights in her 6 grandchildren.
Tom Fitton
Tom FittonCoach
Tom has worked in schools, residential care, and the housing/homelessness sector. His approach to working with young people and their families stems from a blend of personal and professional experiences – tailoring his practice based on their individual needs and desires. With a passion for outdoor activities like skateboarding, hiking, and fitness, Tom loves discovering new interests with his clients. Pursuing a career as a psychologist, Tom combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience to support people with diverse mental health needs. Above all, he is guided by empathy and a commitment to continually learning from those he works with.
Georgia Russell

Georgia was introduced to Get Real through her Bachelor of Social Work placement, and has stayed with us ever since! Georgia has a background working in child safety youth work, and is passionate about empowering young people, with a focus on their emotional wellbeing. Georgia has been a cheerleader for 12 years and loves including arts and crafts in her sessions.
Eva Samios
Eva SamiosCoach
Eva has many hobbies, both indoors and outdoors, that allow her to connect with others through various avenues. Her warm personality encourages her to approach all client sessions in a friendly and considerate manner, with a big focus on rapport building. She advocates taking the client-centred approach that is central to Get Real values. This involves multiple perspective taking and understanding that everyone has individual needs and unique circumstances. She is a 4th year Psychology (Honours) student; and since starting at Get Real, she has relished this opportunity to apply her vocational and educational experiences to support client development in ways that suit their interests, goals, and situation.
Jimmy Radovanovic
Jimmy RadovanovicOccupation Therapist
Jimmy is a fun, energetic and compassionate person who loves working with young people and their families. After heading up our Northern QLD team as a head coach in 2023, Jimmy decided to move to our Brisbane office to begin his work as an OT. He comes from a sporting background and loves to bring sports and physical activity into sessions.
Tyler Duran
Tyler DuranCoach & Support Worker
Tyler is a compassionate person who is passionate about supporting youth and young people. Tyler has a background in Psychology where he has completed a four-year Honours program and has eight years of experience in volunteering in youth programs prior to joining the Get Real team. Tyler was introduced to the Get Real team during his Master of Social Work placement and has experienced joy from investing in and walking alongside his clients, helping them to reach their goals! Tyler is a lifelong learner and is currently working on a research project surrounding coping skills to assist in mental health and wellbeing. In Tyler’s spare time you will find him rock climbing, playing basketball, card games, or mixing and producing music.
Whispa Tekawa

Whispa is a kind and passionate person who has a love for supporting young people. She has experience working with many ages in a support working role which has allowed her to meet all kinds of people and see many perspectives in the world. Whispa has many hobbies that allow her to connect with her participants including baking, cooking, arts and crafts and outdoor activities. Some of her core values are personal growth and wellness, pushing her to strive to help those around her feel empowered and heard!
AngusTherapy Dog
Angus recently joined the Get Real Team and is our youngest team member! He loves to connect through cuddles and playing with squeaky toys. He likes to take his clients to his favourite parks or walk tracks. He works alongside Kelsey and has two big sisters at home who relax in the sun with Angus whenever he has a day off.
ApolloTherapy Horse
Apollo has been apart of the Get Real team for many years. He was often ridden by our Equine Empowerment participants as well our CEO & Founder Tam. Apollo is now able to connect with participants through groundwork and cuddles. He loves visits that include carrots, grooming and long chats.
